*Covers residential, oil-fired water heaters up to a maximum firing rate of 1.25 gallons per hour. EXCLUDES COVERAGE OF THE WATER HEATER TANK, recirculation lines, and anode rods. Service requested to start prior to 8:00 AM or after 5:00 PM, on Federal holidays (days when the Post Office is closed), or weekends, is subject to our standard diagnostic fee, unless you have purchased the 24-365 enhancement. Repair or part replacement must be performed by us.
Oil Tank Allowance
In the event of an oil tank failure, this enhancement give you an allowance of $750 toward a replacement tank or tank repair. Your allowance is payable as a reduction to our normal retail price for the model specified. Replacement or repair must be done by us. Additionally, this coverage includes:
- Exposed fill and vent lines (up to 15’ from the tank)
- Exposed oil lines (up to 15’ from the tank), tank legs, vent alarm and tank valve
Limited Boiler and Furnace Replacement*
This enhancement provides an allowance of $1,000 toward replacement of your main heating boiler or furnace if our inspection determines that your existing equipment is not repairable. The new boiler or furnace must be replaced by us. Allowance is payable as a reduction to our normal retail price of the model specified.
*Existing equipment must be inspected by us to qualify.
Complete Boiler and Furnace Replacement*
This enhancement covers the complete replacement, including parts and labor of your boiler or furnace if our inspection determines that your existing equipment is not repairable. Additionally, coverage includes the replacement of oil burners not meeting the replacement equipment manufacturer’s specifications. Replacement equipment specifications covered by this enhancement are:
Boiler vessel up to 2.0 GPH
Combustion changer up to 2.0 GPH
Domestic coil up to 6 GPM**
Furnace up to 180,000 BTU
Heat exchanger up to 180,000 BTU
*Equipment must be pre-inspected by us to qualify. All equipment must be replaced by us. Replacement coverage is for equipment of equal capacity to the existing system. Coverage does not include upgrade of oil burner, controls, air conditioning modification, labor or material costs associated with integrating systems as a consequence of replacing the hearing unit, or the distribution system inclusive of repair or replacement of radiators and piping.
**This enhancement excludes any repair or replacement necessitated by insufficient hot water due to sediment or corrosion and asbestos removal.

CARE Environmental Protection
Fortunately, oil releases don’t happen too often. But when they do, they can damage the environment and cost thousands of dollars to clean up. And worse, most homeowners insurance doesn’t cover oil releases. The CARE enhancement protects your investment in your home by providing clean-up coverage in case your tank or connected piping leaks.
The CARE program is available for both above ground and underground fuel oil tanks* and provides:
- Up to $100,000 for clean-up**
- Clean-up of releases from fuel oil tank and connected piping
- Low cost share
- Transferable if you sell your home
- Experienced professionals to handle the work
*Underground fuel oil tanks require testing
